Beautiful old castle ruins with walking paths around the property that lead into the woods. Gate is locked at sunset so be careful. Also be mindful that there are private events at times, but you can park in the neighboring city hall parking lot and walk the trails, when permitted.
Lovely place for a date, to simply take in the fresh air and walk some trails, or even take wedding and graduation pictures. Us locals, cherish this place and do not take it for granted. I hope others love it as much as I do.
It was interesting walking around and having my son read the history of the castle.
While driving back to Ct from Me, we needed a break to walk around and I found this location on Google.What a beautiful building we happened upon here, the ruins are gorgeous for walking, sitting or for photraphy. I saw a cyclist as well. We did not see any restrooms on the premises
