From the reviews
Attended an "Edgar Allen Poe Speakeasy" event held here and I was impressed. I always drive by this building but have never been inside. Old firehouse station turned into a event space. Looks like there is about 3 buildings merged together. The building the event was held at was grand!
I saw the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy at the Palmer Building last evening and it suited the atmosphere of the show perfectly. The show was wonderful, this was the second year I've attended and it did not disappoint.
The actors were great, the venue was beautiful, and all the cocktails were delicious. As an avid Poe fan, I was really impressed with how well they adapted and told his stories. We took their advice and dressed in our best Gothic Victorian gear to make the night even more special.
Beautiful venue for a reception or party. I love the stone work hardwood floors and stage. Ive worked numerous events and its such a great backdrop with a relaxed feeling in a pretry cool historic building. I think it may have been built the the Civilian Conservation Corp but not sure. Looks like their work.
Getting married at The Palmer Building
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — The Palmer Building doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
