From the reviews
This place is sophisticated, elegant, AMAZING! I have known the owners for a long time and they are spectacular human beings. I love it. that they are keeping the integrity of this historic property in tact. You should definitely read about the history this classic venue at their website.
My husband and I stayed here 10/17-10/19 for a friend's wedding and it was just amazing. First, the property is so beautifully renovated and decorated it really took my breath away. Second, the room we were staying in was not only gorgeous, comfortable, and clean but I could have lived in the shower.
My wife and stayed overnight after spending most of a day at the NC Transportation Museum. The Bonaparte Castle is classic, beautifully renovated and structurally solid. Room was quiet, bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice. Owners were great, other guests were friendly.
This place was amazing! The owners were so welcoming and willing to help in anyway. My baby sitter canceled so we brought our baby with us and they didnt have a problem with it at all. Rooms got 4 stars only cus I could have used a microwave 😅 Breakfast in the morning was amazing.
Getting married at Bonaparte Castle
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Bonaparte Castle doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
