My wife and I first time in St. Augustine, booked a last minute at Castle Garden. For thanksgiving weekend. I called to personally make a reservation over the phone, had a delighted conversation with Bruce, and made the reservation with no problem.
My fiancee and I had a great stay at Castle Garden. If you are looking for the Marriott, you're going to be disappointed. If you appreciate old architecture and decoration, as well as a very cozy feel with an eccentric but kind innkeeper, then this is 100% the place you want to be.
We stayed at The Castle Garden for a girl's trip in May. The home is beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. It's location is central to restaurants, shopping, the historic sites.
We chose Castle Gardens as our spot to get married. Bruce was a wonderful host. The garden was just what we wanted....Beautiful...for our simple wedding. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Bed slept very well. Felt at home. Breakfast was good also...great coffee.
Getting married at Castle Garden

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew.
