When you go online to buy the tickets the very short ferry from the yacht house (where you park the car) to go to Boldt Castle (which is on its own island) is free. Do not be scammed by hotel people saying you can get a discount if you buy the tour.
We visited Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House on June 29, 2025, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the views of the St. Lawrence River from the castle are absolutely stunning.

We had a beautiful day for a boat ride to Boldt Castle, and it did not disappoint! The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The Castle itself is breathtaking — it’s been preserved in pristine condition. I didn’t see a speck of dust or dirt anywhere.
