The setting
“The hike to the ruins is short and easy, and the moss-covered stone structures mixed with the graffiti make it feel like you stumbled into an abandoned fairytale set.”
Inside the castle
“When the stone walls of the castle appear, covered in layers of graffiti, it doesn’t feel ruined but it feels alive, like the forest and time have been painting it together.”
“This trail is not wheelchair accessible.”
What couples say again and again

From the reviews
One of the coolest hikes I've ever been on. The Witch's Castle has no witchcraft history at all but that does not mean this place is not magical. The building served as a restroom for hikers and later became a party hangout and now a popular hiking destination spot. You can learn more about the history online.
Beautiful scenic short (half mile) hike. The “castle” is covered in graffiti but it’s still a neat space to explore. Pet friendly hike, there are trash cans and dog bags if you need them so please leave no trace.
The "witches castle" is cool, but honestly even the walk to it and around it is just beautiful. A lovely little stream running along the trail. The trail has a few spots the had water runoff over it but other than that the trail was very decent. Also, lots of parking.. I think I saw 3 or 4 different lots.
🏰 🖤Witches Castle feels like a place the forest never gave back. Cold 🥶 dampand quietly powerful, it sits there like a spell half/finished. The hike down and the climb back up is no joke. so wear rain boots 🥾 and tread carefully.
