From the reviews
This is not a castle.. This is the lovely Castle Inn. Visiting the Castle Inn is like stepping back in time. The tour led by our guide, Scott, brought the fascinating history of this beautiful place to life. The Inn's free historical video at the Castle Theater added a layer of depth to our understanding of the place.
We had a bit of trouble finding where to buy tickets. We waited in the parking lot outside what looks like the castle, but the tickets and tour start in the building at 20 Delaware Water Gap.
Was a little hesitant when arrived at Castle Inn as the current structures are not what is depicted in the advertisements. However we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the tour.
It was such an amazing tour about the history of Delaware Water Gap, the music history and the history of Castle Inn. Took us back in time to the early 1900s. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the Delaware Water Gap!
Getting married at Tour the Castle
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Tour the Castle doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
