From the reviews
The White Lady's Castle is really just an old stone wall with turrets across the road from Durand Eastman Beach. If you climb up the stairs to it, you can get a nice view of the lake, and there is a nice little wooded area.
A fun little place, but a bit smaller than I imagined from all the hype elsewhere. It's basically a single retaining wall that resembles a castle from on direction. If you climb the stairs to go "inside," there'd nothing above except a relatively open field.
There's not much to the "castle" itself, but it's a fun stop. It's up a hill but a short walk from the parking area. While you could drive by and see it just fine from the road, it's a fun place to get out and walk around! The trails in the surrounding park are beautiful and easy to get to from the castle.
Especially on an overcast, rainy day like today, it lends a bit of eerie drama. It's quiet, peaceful and beautiful, even in the rain. And if you stand at the front of the foundation wall of the "castle", you get a spectacular view of Lake Ontario.
