From the reviews
The Castle is an absolutely magical place to stay! Liz the innkeeper is exceptional! She provides extraordinary service and cooks the most Devine quiche I have ever tasted in all my life! This place is a must go!
We had an excellent stay at The Castle at Skylands Manor. It’s certainly a beautiful location but the Innkeeper Blake, and his partner Michael were instrumental in making our stay welcoming! So friendly and responsive to questions, they even took time out to give us a brief tour of the Castle.
Beautiful old estate with a castle like appearance. The grounds are immaculately maintained. It is also adjacent to the parks Botanical Gardens. When we drove through there was little in bloom so that was a disappointment. Lots of elaborate statuary spread throughout the grounds.
A beautiful castle definitely worth spending the night at least once! We unfortunately were unable to check in early, but we could at least tour the grounds (outdoors) while we waited.
Getting married at The Skylands Manor
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — The Skylands Manor doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
