I never thought that the very first castle I visited would be in my backyard but life is about growth.lol Yup, Chicago has a castle. An authentic castle and you can visit and go inside! It's definitely one for the books. Beverly has an abundance of gems.

Givins Castle — Chicago’s hidden fairytale fortress. 🏰 Tucked in Beverly, Givins Castle stands as Chicago’s only castle — built in the 1880s of limestone atop the ridge. Once a private home, now a church, it still watches over the South Side like something out of a storybook.
The most perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. My husband and I were married here 40 years ago. The office manager, Mary was very responsive and accommodating. The Beverly Unitarian Church is beautiful, spacious, and historic. There's a majestic staircase, and a fireplace. There's also a grand piano.
