From the reviews
This place is an awesome monument to the author James Oliver Curwood. The staff are lovely and very friendly. They have a vast knowledge of the history of Mr. Curwood and his life and involvement in the town. The castle and surrounding park is beautifully maintained.
Great place to learn about the wildlife author Oliver Curwood. A very interesting building. You wouldn’t expect to see a “castle” in a small Midwest town. The local organization has done a great job keeping it up and informative. Worth the $5.
This was such a great place to visit and tour. The history is surprising. If you have not visited and live in Michigan, you should. I lived there most of my life and never knew about the Curdwood Castle. Go!
A small cute building, not sure exactly should be called castle. Perfect location off the river bank, the writer Curwood used as study/writing room. A good roadside stop if you are in the area.
