From the reviews
Newman’s Castle in Bellville, Texas is such a unique and fun experience! The castle is full of character, with many different rooms to explore—each with its own style and charm. My favorite part was climbing all the way to the top and ringing the huge bell! It was such a cool moment.
You need to know what you're getting into before you come here. If you don't have super high expectations then it will be a fun and interesting experience. If you think you're going to a castle like in England, you will be disappointed. It is small. You can see everything in 30 minutes.
To visit this charming little castle, you’ll need to buy tickets in advance at the bakery. The $20 ticket includes a light meal: a sandwich, a dessert, and a drink of your choice. It’s a nice touch that makes the whole experience feel more complete! The castle itself isn’t huge, but it’s full of character.
Very enjoyable tour and experience. It was interesting to learn how this unique castle was built and the history of the builder Mr. Newman. An added bonus was fresh donuts, cookies and bakery items prior to the 11am tour.
Getting married at Newman’s Castle
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Newman’s Castle doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
Galas & corporate events at Newman’s Castle
Reviews and the castle's own info mention galas, corporate events, or private parties at Newman’s Castle — castle venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
