Stunning chateau with fabulous breakfast. We will absolutely return here. Some rooms have lake views and some have fireplaces. We got the Tower Room, which had both. We woke up early, walked into town for a cup of coffee right away, then enjoyed the big, full breakfast later.
We spent 4 nights in this beautiful historic mansion. We booked the Master Suite on the 2nd floor, and it was perfect! We were able to see gorgeous views of Lake Superior from the bedroom and living room. We had access to the whole first floor, which included items from the kitchen, if needed.
Gorgeous house with large rooms, beautiful porch and perfect view of Lake Superior. We stayed in the turret suite with the added altitude for an even better lakeview! You have to go over to the main house for the delicious breakfast which is only a few blocks away.
What a piece of paradise!! My stay there was so relaxing - staying away from the main house was really nice. Stayed in the HUGE turret room and had the included breakfast twice. Staff were all so kind!
Getting married at Le Chateau Boutin
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Le Chateau Boutin doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
