This was such a lovely place, I never knew there was another castle near by where I live. I found this lil special place on my way to another location to grab a bite. I have to say this was breath-taking and such a zen place. It was open, the smell of nature was free of car smells & smog.
To be honest, I was just looking for something to do when I had 30 minutes before a meeting. I don't know anyone in the area, so I looked up tourist destinations and Kips Castle came up.
A real hidden gem. A beautiful castle, very close but hidden. A great place to take photo’s that are unique. The grounds are kept in good condition. Amazing to stumble upon this place in our own backyard. If you are in the area, I highly recommend visiting.
I absolutely love castles! First visit! Kips Castle is a replica of a Medieval Castle! Located in Verona and Montclair New Jersey. The Castle was closed but you can explore the 11 acres of land on the ridge of First Mountain. You have beautiful views of the New York skyline. On our way out, saw the deers!!
