Really cool spot. Definitely worth a stop. You park at the bottom of the hill (don’t block the gate) and then it’s a short, but steep, walk up to the castle. There’s quite a few holes in the fence off to the right hand side if you want to check out the castle up close.
🔦Another great abandon castle built between 1895 and 1899 The castle was intended to be a honeymoon cottage. Nice vibes and pretty cool graffiti theres an opening on the side of the building you just need to find it😉 🖤👍
Quick visit to see the area. Park across the street in the lot. There is a fence around the place now, but... walk to the right to see the side of the castle.
The castle is under construction. I'm not sure if they are demolishing it or preserving it, though it would be a shame if they tear t down! It's got a nice little trail around it! Parking is tough as it looks like there is only only space for two cars to park without blocking the entrance!
Getting married at Hearthstone Castle
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Hearthstone Castle doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
