Really enjoyed coming here. Decided it was too nice of a day to waste inside. So glad we didn't. Lots of hidden places to explore. So pretty and peaceful. Liked seeing the bison and geese. Did a bit of hiking .. so quiet you can't hear anything but the forest. Definitely coming back.
Very nice volleyball courts. Fishing was average with a ton of little sunfish. Walleyes and northerns do not have a very big population. Tons of smaller bass. No motors allowed on the lake canoes or kayaks. Swans and bison were cool and I will have to check out the observatory someday.
I like to visit about once a year to see the bison 🦬. I live about an hour away, so I was a little let down that there were no Buffalo. Maybe a social media post stating that they are moving them would help avoid this. The lake and facilities themselves are wonderful. Not ever too busy, it's somewhat of a hidden gem.
Amazing and peaceful time enjoying Nature and watching all the Bees hard at it.Theres so many trails and bridges ,wildflowers, lakes every turn is an Adventure. There's a Huge play area for kids and pick nick tables to sit and enjoy the activities around you.Definitaly a hidden Gem!
