From the reviews
Coronado Heights Castle is what happens when Kansas decides, “You know what? We deserve a castle too,” and then just fully commits to the bit. You drive up expecting… I don’t know, maybe a scenic overlook with a sign and a bench.
We were staying in Lindsborg, so figured we would check out this area. There was a steady group of tourists at the site while we were there so it must be popular. The views are very good of the valley below. Pretty much a 360 view of the lower elevations.
A beautiful rustic FREE historic site to picnic and visit. The castle is rustic with steep stairs so the castle is not wheel chair accessible, but abled bodied people can climb the stairs inside and go to the top of the "castle".
In terms of castle/building ruins that you can visit in the US, I'd say that I've seen better and I've seen worse. Coronado is cool/interesting enough to swing by if you have the time, but definitely not a must-see in my book.
