From the reviews
We had an outstanding experience at Chateau on the Lake! We spent our evening at the bar, and our bartender, Rachell, was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure every drink was crafted perfectly. Her service truly elevated our experience.
We ate at the Chateau Grille. Rachell was our server and she was great at her job! She was AMAZING, not to mention friendly, energetic and attentive. Besides being our server, she was also making guests drinks at the bar. Wow! She made us feel so special and the food was yummy too!
When we first checked in to the hotel we were greeted and helped by Ben, who was beyond friendly and helpful and very informative about the details regarding our stay. I was pleased with the service and looked forward to our stay. Upon entering our room, it was clear that there was troubles with the air conditioning.
I stayed at the Chateau for a state conference for 3 nights. The room was a nice size and basically clean, a bit dusty in places. You have to request coffee and such at the front desk as there is no room check while there, I suppose you can request daily service. What would bring me back is the very polite staff.
Getting married at Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
Galas & corporate events at Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center
Reviews and the castle's own info mention galas, corporate events, or private parties at Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center — castle venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
