From the reviews
I attended a family wedding here. I heard about the poor reviews but was pleasantly surprised after getting there and spending 2 nights. I found the aesthetics of the place to be really cool—a modern vintage look. The cleanliness was good. The food was not impressive.
I stayed here recently for my beloved uncle’s wedding and the experience was absolutely lovely. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay and the ceremony.
This place was amazing. The building itself gave a lot of "renaissance" vibes. Me and my partner loved it! We were 1 of the 5 guests staying there during our time there and it was heavenly. The staff was extremely attentive to our requests, and it was a very peaceful stay.
Stayed here over a year ago. The room is luxurious and elegant. But there is no breakfast and the Chateau is located in a remote area. Overall a good experience, hoping to try it again at some point maybe in the summer.
Getting married at Chateau Merrimack Resort & Spa
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Chateau Merrimack Resort & Spa doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
