Five stars is perfect. Our experience was very good, but not perfect. I would not come back in October again, which is unfortunate since it is our anniversary month. A nice gentleman greeted us as we arrived and showed us to our room. Took care of our bags etc.
I only viewed the common areas, I did not stay the night here. I ate dinner at the restaurant, which is separated from the chateau by a small garden. I highly recommend the restaurant, The Elderberry House. However, they also offer a concierge service to stock your fridge if you’d like.
Just wow. While the grounds were beautiful and the food was delicious the real star of the Chateau is the staff. We have been all over the world and to plenty of other 5-star hotels, but we've never received as superb service as we did here.
What a wonderful oasis near Yosemite! My wife and I were continually surprised and impressed by the service and thoughtfulness. We truly felt like we were at a French chateau when it was really just three hours from the Bay Area.
