If you have realistic expectations, this is a great place to stay for a Disneyland trip. Cons: The facility is older. The rooms were dimly lit, and there was a gap under the main door that allowed the sounds of other guests walking by to be heard easily in the morning. Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
My family and i recently stayed at Castle Inn for our Disneyland excursion. The rates were about 50-60% of what other hotels in the area were charging. The rooms were well maintained and the walk to the parks was only about 10 minutes away. We also had the misfortune of forgetting a suitcase on our way home.
This was a great hotel for a Disneyland trip. The kids love the castle theme. We loved that we could get a suite with a separate room for the kids to sleep in. It was significantly cheaper than staying in an official Disneyland hotel, but still close enough to easily walk to the park.
Almost perfect. The plumbing has some slight issues but the beds are great, and the microwave and mini fridge are good sizes and function well. No freezer built in so keep that in mind. Parking is free which is nice and the walk to Disney is around 10 minutes and you'll pass some good restaurants.
