From the reviews
We stayed at Castle in the Country Bed and Breakfast in Allegan for our 3rd anniversary, and it was a truly special experience. The property is beautiful and peaceful—perfect for a romantic getaway.
From booking to leaving, Castle in the Country was very communicative. They send you text reminders for everything we had booked which was very nice. If you can afford it, add on the celebration package. We were met by Spencer, who did an amazing job explaining all of the amenities and the itinerary of our stay.
We stayed here for a weekend as a birthday celebration, and had the most amazing time. The room was so cute, the entire property was beautiful. We managed to get on the lake and use the kayaks and paddle boats. We also hiked using the trails on the property.
Your experience starts long before you arrive with a call from Spencer to ask about any dietary needs and to check in on any other request. The staff continues to follow-up via text on check in, directions and any other concerns or questions.
Getting married at Castle in the Country Bed & Breakfast Inn
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Castle in the Country Bed & Breakfast Inn doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
