From the reviews
Beautiful landscape and incredible petroglyphs! Castle Gardens Petroglyphs was worth the drive to see. The petroglyphs are stunning and well preserved. Unfortunately, there is modern graffiti interspersed with many of the petroglyphs, but fencing now protects the historic images.
The dirt road out to Castle Gardens is an adventure in itself, in a good way. It’s slow going but safe for even a small suv. Once you get to the actual site there is parking. The petroglyphs are within eyeshot. There is a loop you can walk and find on All Trails app. I am 67 and the walk was an easy one.
This place is amazing and well worth the journey. Some paved roads but mostly dirt roads. If you grew up in Wyoming it is good road, if you are from the east or west coast it will seem very remote, but road is navigable all the way by truck, SUV and most cars.
Absolutely worth going to. We were there for 4-6 hrs and didn't see another person till we were leaving. Petroglyphs were interesting and surrounded by cyclone fences.
