The setting
“This is a great historical place run by volunteers, the price for both the mine and town visit is justified, but can add up if going in a group larger than two.”
What couples say again and again
“As an added bonus, the surrounding mountains, vast desert stretches, and countless metal structures around the museum add a great deal of charm and creativity.”
From the reviews
What an extraordinary place. I didn’t know what to expect as I’m from the northeast. I’m not always a giant fan of the desert. Castle dome museum Can make a convert out of anyone, I’m certainly a fan now.
I took the time to visit this Castle Dome Mine museum. It was the right decision. If you've never been in a mine there is a mine tour offered, If you want to see what Silver ore looks like you will see it in the vein and in the shop where you can purchase a piece.
Take a peek into history!! This is one of the most interesting ghost towns I've ever visited .The buildings have been well preserved and the decor makes you feel like the town is still alive. You can feel and almost hear the echos of the past.
We took Castle dome road off of highway 95 and parked our motorhome on the left hand side. We then took our razor into the museum area and got there about 11:00 in the morning. We settled on taking the mine tour which was absolutely phenomenal. Never been on anything like this before. It was well worth the expense.
