From the reviews
The wines here are truly exceptional! While the indoor tasting area itself is a bit simple, the actual tasting experience completely makes up for it. They offer two different pairing options—cheese or chocolate—and we went with the chocolate pairing, which was absolutely spectacular.
I wanted to take a moment to rave about how wonderful our stay was at the Belhurst Castle. My parents, husband and I stayed in two rooms at the Vinifera Inn, and the rooms were large, immaculately clean, and overlooked the beautiful Seneca Lake.
We have stayed at Belhurst Castle several times. We were recently there and our stay in the castle was wonderful. The weather was very warm for this time of the year and we were pleasantly surprised to see that someone had prepared for our visit by having a fan placed in our room.
My sister and I planned a winter winery adventure and stayed overnight at the castle. It is a lovely property and every staff member we encountered from the front desk to the wine tasting and gift shop to our dinner at the tavern was friendly, helpful and willing to answer any questions.
Getting married at Belhurst Castle and Winery
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Belhurst Castle and Winery doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
