From the reviews
We’ve photographed weddings and engagements at Beardslee Castle, and it never stops being one of the most unique and memorable venues around. The place is full of character and every room tells a story. From the dungeon, to the dreamy bridal suite overlooking the garden, there’s inspiration around every corner.
Food and atmosphere were great. The castle itself is a cool setting and the meal was excellent. The only downside was the service speed. It took almost 90 minutes from ordering to getting our food, which felt unusually long. That said, the food was worth the wait.
May 2025 Wedding, Flowers by Mohican Flowers, Photos by Erin Covey Creative, dessert by Desserts Beyond the Ordinary Having our wedding at Beardslee was one of the first decisions my husband and I made when we started planning.
Finding a venue you truly fall in love with can be tough, but for my wife and me, this was a no-brainer. The castle theme was amazing, and from the moment we first met Lynn, we knew we were in great hands.
Getting married at Beardslee Castle
A castle wedding is the once-in-a-lifetime, storybook kind — the grand staircase, the ballroom, the gardens and turrets your photos will live on forever. Castle weddings commonly run $10,000–$40,000+ depending on the date, guest count, and how much is included, so ask for a written quote for your season — Beardslee Castle doesn’t publish a set price, and tiers move fast. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you’d actually get married — a ballroom that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you’ll want to walk the path your guests take from the gates to the ceremony to the reception. Second, bring your real questions: what’s included with the venue fee (tables, chairs, setup, teardown), the catering and bar policy, whether you can stay overnight on-site, the rain plan for a garden ceremony, and the music curfew. Fairytale dates at castle venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what’s open in your season before you leave.
